About Book

A young man went about in search of old stories that were on the verge of being forgotten. Agụ is a product of this quest. It is a collection of a letter, poems, and a story, mostly for/about a man who lived and died almost a decade ago‒ his grandfather.

The Igbo culture and identity are proudly displayed over the pages of this book. This representation of a certain African tribe does not wish to speak only to the Igbos, but to everyone who appreciates culture, its beauty, and its values.

“old days are like landmarks / showing what grounds are yours /to build on / to call home”

The writer journeys back and forth in time, trying to reconcile what is with what could be. It gets even more personal with him recounting the moments he shared with his grandfather before his passing.
