SAY NO TO RAPE, A POEM BY ALHASSAN MARYAM

SAY NO TO RAPE, A POEM BY ALHASSAN MARYAM

“say no to rape” is a poem expressing the trauma and hurt a girl went through after her rape experience.

SAY NO TO RAPE

Her eyes clouded with darkness
As she stabbed him with harness…
She watched him breath his last with happiness

His blood splattered around and she smiles with glints of content…
He is the last on her murder list but the ease she felt was just a cent!
She seems inhumane and hell-bent…

Unearth her roots before you can judge her fruits!
She isn’t a brute!

Once upon a time she was a beautiful mote
Naive and clueless of these earthly Cruel routes

She was ambushed on her way home…
She ran through the bushes with her legs covered with bruises and loam
They caught up with her and compared her to pome

She cried and begged those brutes until she felt numb
They didn’t listen… they played dumb

They overpowered her and took turns…
Stripped her off her Innocence and left her with the burns

Uche Njie

She laid there, bare, helpless, and let her tears and blood mix with rain
Under that heavy downpour she was filled with disdain
She was bloodthirsty and wanted to slain!
Revenge took over her sanity because of pain
Can you blame her? No think again!

Say no to rape!!!
Women are lookers and vulnerable to their napes
Men at intrepid hence, heroes without capes
Know this and know peace, don’t be an ape!
