Submissions are open for Issue III of Poemify Magazine. We accept all forms of prose, poetry, and art. Simultaneous submissions and previously published work are allowed. We encourage submissions from all ages!

The theme of Issue III is “MEMORIES.”

Send us your thrilling memories, ugly experiences, wow and oops moments. We’re looking for magical, disruptive, insightful and distinctive works.

You can submit via Google Forms here. The form will prompt you to include a short (less than 300 words) bio, your piece(s), your name, email, and a space for additional information (like if your piece is previously published/a simultaneous submission). Before submitting, please read the guidelines below.

Up to 5,000 words per piece, submit no more than three pieces. We accept all kinds of fiction and nonfiction. We ask that all prose under 2,000 words be in a single document, in doc or docx format. Times New Roman, size 12, double spaced is preferred, but not required. Place titles at the top of each piece. Please omit names (or any other identifying information) from the document.

We discourage essays, although, our blog could be a suitable home for such writing. You can send pitches to our blog here.

No more than four pieces per submission. We accept all kinds of art, whether it’s paintings, sculptures, digital art, mixed media, ceramics, photography, drawings, etc. We ask that each submission be in pdf, png or jpeg format. Include the title of your artwork in the submission form.


Please understand that Poemify Magazine is a space created specifically for African creatives. For this reason, we will only consider submissions from African creatives for publication.

If accepted, you agree to grant Poemify Publishers Inc serial and electronic rights (if not previously published). After publication, all rights return back to the creator. If submitting previously published work (as permissible by the original publication), please let us know in your submission form!
